🔄 Refund & Returns Policy – Kiltra Music Shop

At Kiltra Music Shop, we want you to be completely happy with your purchase.
If for any reason you’re not satisfied, please review our returns policy below.

1. Returns Period

You have 14 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.
After 14 days, we can’t accept items for refund or exchange.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must:

  • Be in the same condition you received it — unused and unmarked.

  • Include all original packaging, labels, and tags.

  • Include a proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt).

3. Restocking Fee (10%)

For eligible returns, a 10% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

This fee covers costs associated with inspection, testing, repackaging, administration, and payment processing.

The restocking fee applies to returns requested due to:

  • Change of mind
  • Ordered the wrong item
  • Item no longer required
  • Compatibility issues where the item is not faulty

The restocking fee does not apply if:

  • The item is faulty or defective
  • The item was damaged in transit
  • We sent the incorrect item

Refunds will be issued for the product price paid minus the 10% restocking fee, and original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or sent in error.

4. How to Request a Return

To start a return, please email info@kiltraschoolofmusic.ie with:

  • Your order number

  • The item(s) you wish to return

  • The reason for your return

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label and detailed instructions on how to post your package back to us.
Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item was defective or sent in error.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please email us immediately with photos.
We’ll replace or refund the item at no additional cost once verified.

6. Non-Returnable Items

For copyright and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on the following:

  • Books and sheet music

  • CDs, DVDs, or digital downloads

  • Gift cards

  • Sale items (unless faulty)

7. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you by email.
If approved, your refund will be processed automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Depending on your bank or payment provider, this may take up to 15 business days to appear.

If it’s been more than 15 business days since approval and you haven’t received your refund, please contact us at info@kiltraschoolofmusic.ie.

8. EU Right of Withdrawal

If you are an EU customer, you have the legal right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without needing to provide a reason.
